Guidelines for Performers

Sound and Music Works presentations will be held from Monday, 3rd to Friday, 7th across two different sites: UCL East Marshgate and V&A East Storehouse.

To ensure each presentation and performance runs smoothly, please adhere to the following guidelines.

Attendance and Installation:

  • It is mandatory for you to be present for the setup, throughout the presentation or performance to engage with the audience about your work, and for the set down if applicable.
  • Setup and set down time will be different for each work. You will receive a full rundown regarding your presentation or performance from the track chairs by Thu, 30th.

Technical Requirements:

  • A/V Equipment:
    • Please bring any equipment discussed that is not provided by CMMR.
    • We recommend that you bring your own adapters to avoid potential compatibility issues.
    • If you are presenting a fixed-media piece and have been asked to send your file to your track chair, please send it by Wed, 29th at 3 pm BST.
  • Portable Appliance Testing (PAT): Please note that all equipment brought to the conference must have been PAT tested by contributors before attending, and contributors are solely responsible for this.

Please get in touch with the Sound and Music Works chairs at cmmr2025ucl@gmail.com if you need further assistance.
